By | December 08, 2020 The Coronavirus pandemic and tightening restrictions on international travel has put major limitations on the ability to present non-U.S.-based performing artists and to engage in cultural exchange. APAP is conducting a short survey in order to understand both the pre-pandemic and current state of international presenting and touring, including how the pandemic has impacted the activities and plans of performing arts presenting organizations. APAP Coronavirus Impact Survey on Individual Performing Arts Professionals: APAP conducted this survey in September and October 2020 to capture the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic on the lives and careers of those professionals working in the performing arts presenting, booking and touring field. 41% of respondents indicated that their work status was impacted by the pandemic. One thing is clear: the pandemic has changed us and the way we work. State of Livestreaming” Survey: In the shadow of the pandemic and the limitations it has put on the live arts, APAP conducted a survey in September 2020 to gain a greater understanding of how those in the performing arts are using livestreaming to present the arts, create art and connect with our communities, as well as to determine how best we can provide training and resources to support professionals in their livestreaming efforts.
