Mellon Foundation launches major national funding initiative: Nominate a small and mid-sized organization now.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund, made possible by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, will award $10 million in grants to small and mid-sized arts organizations, prioritizing those led by and serving people of color and Indigenous people, and/or led by and serving people from rural communities.

Initial funding will be administered by:

  • South Arts - deadline to nominate an arts organization to receive an award is today, June 23, 2020.
  • Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) - deadline to nominate an arts organization is June 24, 2020.
  • New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) - application deadline is June 30, 2020.
  • Arts Midwest - deadline to nominate an arts organization to receive an award is July 8, 2020
  • Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) - Organizations will be recommended by regional advisors over the summer of 2020.
  • Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation - Guidelines for the Mid Atlantic Arts Regional Resource Fund will be available on or before July 1, 2020.
