Winners Announced: Ping Chong to receive Award of Merit!

APAP is excited to announce that Ping Chong will be the 2020 recipient of the APAP Award of Merit for Achievement in the Performing Arts. Join us on Monday, January 13 at noon for the APAP Awards Ceremony and Luncheon. Specials guests include NEA Chairwoman Maryann Carter and all of the APAP awardees!

  • The League of American Orchestras will be honored with the Sidney R. Yates Award for Outstanding Advocacy on Behalf of the Performing Arts.
  • Emil Kang, executive and artistic director, Carolina Performing Arts, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, will receive the William Dawson Award for Programmatic Excellence and Sustained Achievement in Programming.
  • The surprise recipient of the Fan Taylor Distinguished Service Award for Exemplary Service to the Field of Professional Presenting will be announced at the luncheon. Don’t miss it!
