Student Registration

APAP helps students connect with performing arts professionals and gain exposure to the industry through conference activities and year-round membership services.

Discounted Student Registration Rate of $180 gives students access to:

  • APAP|NYC professional development sessions

  • The EXPO Hall, the largest performing arts marketplace in the world

  • 1,000+ showcases throughout New York City

  • New Colleagues Orientation

This registration rate is available for undergraduate and graduate students of accredited colleges and universities. As a student registrant, you are not allowed to purchase a booth or a showcase listing. Awards luncheon tickets may be purchased separately.

Because APAP|NYC is a members-only conference, students must also be APAP members to purchase a student conference registration. Your university may already be a member, in which case you can contact an administrator to be added to your university's APAP membership account for free. Or, if you belong to another organization that is an APAP member, you can join as part of its membership. If neither of these situations apply to you, you can join APAP as a student member.

Student Volunteer Program at APAP|NYC

APAP accepts approximately 125 undergraduate and graduate students into our volunteer program each year. Our volunteers run registration, check people into sessions, support special events and more!

Students who complete the required 20 volunteer hours receive:

  • FREE student conference registration – Once a student’s work shift is over, the student can take advantage of all conference events, including professional development sessions, open meetings and showcase performances.

  • FREE student membership – Upon completing the required work hours, students will receive a one-year free student membership giving access to a wide array of benefits and services including access to all resources on the APAP|365 website, and the APAP Job Bank.

The volunteer program is very popular, so be sure to apply early. Questions? Please email
