APAP|NYC 2018 Media Registration

Thank you for your interest in joining us and covering APAP|NYC 2018. APAP, the Association of Performing Arts Professionals, brings more than 3,600 artists and performing industry leaders to New York City every year.

APAP NYC 2015 Global Regional Forum

APAP|NYC is one of the largest gatherings of performers, agents, presenters, producers in the world, with great stories to tell and mesmerizing visuals most everywhere you look. You might be interested in covering some of the ways the industry is evolving or how specific artists and performing arts programs are influencing society and making a positive difference in communities near and far. Each year the conference offers new content, speakers and opportunities to connect with arts leaders who shape what we see, hear and experience in the performing arts in the U.S. and globally.

Media Credentials

Media credentials are limited to working press that register and receive confirmation that they will receive a credential to APAP|NYC. This includes working press who cover the performing arts and related topics for one or more established news outlets. Freelancers who have applied and provided a letter from their editor stating the type of story they've been assigned to produce will be considered. We appreciate and ask that you send us links to or copies of your story/ies once they are posted, published or broadcasted. If you have not attended APAP|NYC in the past, samples of relevant published articles/stories are requested with your press credentials application.

We begin considering media applications beginning in late summer 2017 through the weeks leading up to the conference. We will confirm the status of your application by the end of each month from October through December, sooner if you send us an email stating your deadline for planning purposes after completing the application form. Please check the schedule frequently for program updates.

Media Requests

We encourage media, whether attending or not, to request interviews, quotes and photos in advance, but we do keep a few timeslots available for media to interview APAP president and CEO Mario Durham and/or other APAP officials and session leaders at the conference. Audio and video recording of plenary sessions that is intended for broadcast or webcast requires prior arrangement and permission through APAP.
