Professional Development Institute

Presenting Equity: Equity Training for Performing Arts Professionals

Open to members and non-members alike, APAP is offering a one and a half-day intensive on Thursday, January 3 (continuing on Friday, January 4) designed to help you and your team strengthen skills, grow opportunities and build careers. 

The 2019 Professional Development Institute focuses on race, class, gender and other intersectional analysis to help professionals in their organizational diversity, equity and inclusion work.

APAP offers sessions on topics of interest to performing arts professionals as part of its pre-conference activities. Events include the popular Under the Radar Speed Dating and Wavelengths, the largest gathering of world music professionals in the U.S., as well as new sessions each year. Most sessions take place on Friday, January 4.

Wavelengths: APAP World Music Pre-Conference

Wavelengths is a two-day pre-conference (January 3-4, 2019) for the international performing arts field. Free and open to all, the first day focuses on artists and the second on the presenting community. Wavelengths strives to include new and overlooked perspectives and to provide actionable advice through informed conversations, breakout sessions, and interactive dialogue. Co-produced by rock paper scissors music PR and globalFEST.
