APAP|On the Road

The performing arts field is in a time of deep change - what are our new realities? Will things continue to shift or is this the "new normal"? Over the last several months, APAP held a series of seminars with the field in five cities - Seattle, Iowa City, New Orleans, Augusta, and Gettysburg as part of APAP's year-round professional development program. APAP|On the Road is a dynamic set of conversations across the U.S. to address the changes in our field and how we deal with it in our communities.

These seminars provided opportunities for participants to engage in peer-to-peer learning about issues and strategies relevant to the "new realities" of performing arts presenting in today's socio-economic climate. As a follow up to APAP|NYC 2010's Bold Business Moves session, the seminars were based upon a commissioned paper, authored by Ken Foster, titled "Thriving in an Uncertain World; Arts Presenting and the New Realities."

Along with continuing our APAP|On the Road conversations, we have scheduled APAP|Marketplace gatherings at upcoming regional conferences to provide members with a valuable opportunity to learn about APAP's dues restructure plan and meet with APAP staff and board members.

While an RSVP is not necessary, we would love to know if you are planning to attend our APAP|On the Road or APAP|Marketplace sessions.

Please email info@artspresenters.org and let us know if you are planning to attend and include "Regional Arts" in the subject title.
