APAP E-newsletter Content Submission Guidelines

Spotlights is the e-newsletter for APAP members - people who make their living presenting and touring the performing arts. They are professionals that work in presenting venues, in concert halls, within college/university settings, at agencies, at artist management companies, as self-represented artists, and also students, arts administrators, board members of arts organizations and staff members of other arts service organizations. They are looking to Spotlights for bi-weekly news and information about what's new and trending in the performing arts presenting industry.

As such, we are looking for news and information that are vital to our members' work. Any item that is considered promotional of any kind will not be included, but may be directed to our advertising sales team. Please submit items relating to the following:

  • Member News & Transitions - Personnel changes and announcements, new theater openings, new partnerships forming and more
  • Field News - Newsworthy items related to trends in the field, policy updates, funding and grantee announcements, new research published and more
  • Events & Conferences - Events from our partners aimed toward and critical to the work of performing arts professionals (information, not promotional)
  • Awards & Accomplishments - awards or accolades given to a member of the professional performing arts touring and presenting industry
  • Calls for Proposals, Papers, Sessions & Nominations - please include deadlines, contact information and web URLs
