Lisa Booht

Lisa Booth is president of Lisa Booth Management, Inc. (LBMI), a NYC-based firm she directs with Vice President Deirdre Valente. LBMI tours American artists worldwide; produces U.S. tours for artists from abroad; and initiates and manages special projects. Since 1983, LBMI activities have taken place in more than 250 cities, 40 states and 20 countries.

Artists represented by LBMI include Doug Varone and Dancers, Children of Uganda, and Teatro Hugo & Ines (Peru). Recent international projects include U Theatre (Taiwan), 'Movement (R)evolution: New African Dance,' and Sweden's K. Kvarnström & Co. plus this season's U.S.A. premiere of 'Seasons of Migration' a Cambodia-USA dance/music project. New projects for 05-06 include artists from The Hip-Hop Theatre Festival, Will Power's 'Flow,' the Trinity Repertory Company-Penumbra Theatre Company production 'Grandchildren of the Buffalo Soldiers,' Handspring Puppet Company's 'Tall Horse' (South Africa), and 'Cathay: Three Enchanted Tales from China' by Ping Chong and Shaanxi Folk Art Theater (USA/China). A tour of Ratan Thiyam's Chorus Repertory Theatre (India) is planned for fall of '06.

Lisa has served on the board of directors of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters since 2001 and as vice chair 2003-2006. In 2006, Lisa assumed the position of board chair. She has been a consultant and panelist for many organizations including the National Endowment for the Arts, has served on the National Association of Performing Arts Managers and Agents board, and taught arts marketing at SUNY Purchase. Previously, she served as administrative director of the American Dance Festival and vice president of Charles Reinhart Management.
